Some time ago the kind of fusion music of Mothers Finest was rare, but the versatility and originality of this band brought down many barriers. Joyce Kennedy together with Glenn Murdock, lead vocalists of Mothers Finest, are incomparable and unique in the ability to bring ‘it’ to you in concert. And she still does.
Joyce ‘Baby Jean’ Kennedy went on to record with MF three gold albums 'Another Mother Further (with 'Baby love' and 'Piece of the rock'), Mother Factor and Mother's Finest Live.' Recently, after a ten year break, Mothers Finest released a new and critically acclaimed album 'Meta Funk'n Physical' in 2003, which they combined with heavy touring in Europe. The press frequently stated that even these days Mothers Finest is still one of the best LIVE bands on the planet. Its obvious that Joyce’s untouched contributions played an important role to that qualification. This is proven by her success as a solo artist. Joyce has released two solid solo projects including hits & standouts, 'The Last Time I Made Love' a duet with Jeffrey Osborne, 'Hold Out (For Love's Sake)', and power ballad, 'Stronger Than Before'. She is currently in the studio putting the final touches on her next solo release.
